6.4.2. Rope winch
The operator sets appropriate inspection intervals according to the frequency of use and the operating conditions.
Regular cleaning is required. Do not use steam jets!
Brakes/locks that are not visible must be visually inspected at least once every 5 years. Replace brake linings if
necessary.
A general overhaul must be carried out by the manufacturer after 10 years at the latest.

Injury to persons and damage to property
Improper maintenance of the product may result in injury to persons or damage to property.
All loads must be removed from lifting equipment before any inspection, maintenance or repair work is
carried out.
Have all work on brakes and locks carried out exclusively by qualified, specially trained personnel.
Maintenance and inspection intervals:
Visual inspection of the rope hook (suspension device)
Check that the winch functions properly
Check the condition of the rope and lifting equipment
Check the rope for wear and carry out maintenance in accordance with DIN ISO 4309
Check that fastening bolts are properly seated and tightened
Check all parts of the winch and crank for wear. Replace any defective parts.
Recommended lubricants:
Multi-purpose grease according to DIN 51502 K 3 K-20
Brake function under load
Check that the type plate is legible
