Setup and assembly
4.1. Safety instructions for setup and assembly
WARNING
Injury to persons and damage to property
Improper assembly of the product may result in injuries to persons or damage to property.
Follow the assembly sequence shown in these instructions.
Install all parts included in the scope of delivery as instructed.
At least two persons are required to assemble the equipment. Additional persons may be required for heavy
products.
Use lifting tackle as required to erect the fully or partially assembled products. Attach the lifting tackle
properly to the body of the access steps or to the platform.
Use only self-locking nuts during assembly and maintenance.
Until safe areas on the platform (with guardrail fitted) have been properly established, it is recommended
that persons on the platform use personal protective equipment and secure themselves in accordance with
the applicable regulations.
DANGER
Injury to persons and damage to property
Improper assembly of the product may lead to it toppling. This may result in injury to persons or damage to
property.
The surface on which it is assembled must be even, horizontal (1.5% or, with spindle adjustment, 3%) and of
sufficient load-bearing capacity.
Use load-distributing pads if necessary.
Always press down the brake lever on the swivel castors to prevent the platform from rolling away.
Assemble the product so that it is vertical and perpendicular.
Do not climb onto the product when assembling it. Do not step onto the platform until it has been
completely assembled and is properly positioned at its place of use.
WARNING
Injury to persons
There is a risk of crushing if the product is assembled improperly. This may lead to injuries.
Always wear personal protective equipment that is appropriate for the job at hand (see page 9).
Keep hands and feet clear of the possible danger zones.
4.2. Assembly
Assemble the product according to this instruction manual (see chapter "11 Work platform assembly instructions").
