2.5. Danger area
The danger area refers to the area surrounding the product, where persons may be hit by falling objects.
DANGER
Injury to persons
Improper use of the product may lead to injury or even death.
When the product is being used, no other person is allowed to remain in the danger area.
2.6. Personal safety
WARNING
Injury to persons and damage to property
If the product is assembled, dismantled, operated and maintained by anyone other than qualified persons, this may
result in injury to persons or damage to property.
The product may be assembled, dismantled, operated and maintained only by qualified individuals (see
page 6).
These instructions, safety labels and information signs must be read and understood by all persons involved.
Never throw materials or tools, but pass them up or down from person to person.
Always wear personal protective equipment that is appropriate for the job at hand (see page 9).
2.7. General safety instructions
DANGER
Injury to persons and damage to property
Improper assembly, dismantling, operation and maintenance of the product may lead to severe injury to persons or
damage to property.
Do not work in ways that compromise safety.
The specifications in these instructions must be observed when assembling, dismantling, operating and
maintaining the product.
The product may only be used when it is complete and in proper working condition.
All moving attachment and structural parts must be secured in place using the locking mechanisms designed
for this purpose.
All required documents, safety-related instructions and safety information must be legible, complete and
stored carefully with the product.
Never leave the product unattended in places accessible to the public. Seal off the danger area to passers-by.
If required, use warning barriers, warning lamps or deploy personnel to guard the area.
The product must never be attached to towing vehicles.
The product may not be used in a thunderstorm.
Always provide ample lighting in the working area (300 lx or in accordance with the country-specific
regulations).
Always press down the brake lever on the swivel castors to prevent the platform from rolling away.
The surface on which it is assembled must be even, horizontal (1.5% or, with spindle adjustment, 3 %) and of
sufficient load-bearing capacity. Use load-distributing pads if necessary.
