General information

1.1. Intended use
The product is intended for providing access to machines, buses and other commercial vehicles, for maintenance
purposes. It comprises a chassis on the left and a chassis on the right, each with a support frame. Attached to the support
frames are guide units with brackets for the platform. The guide units are raised and lowered using a hand-operated rope
winch and are fixed at the desired height with pins. The platform can be extended by mounting a fixed or folding auxiliary
platform. The platform is equipped with guardrails at the sides. The platform is accessed either via a fixed ladder or
quadruple-beam steps.
The following standards are applied: EN ISO 14122-1 to -4 and pr EN 1004.
The product is designed for the following applications:
For use only by authorised and instructed personnel
As a climbing aid to allow safe work with easy access up to a specified maximum height (the maximum height
depends on the scope of the order)
For use only in combination with the machines or vehicles being serviced
For permanent use indoors
For temporary use outdoors, in compliance with the safety instructions in section 2.7
For use in suitable lighting and visibility conditions (at least 300 lx for the platform and surroundings and in
compliance with applicable national regulations)
For simultaneous use by several persons, provided that the maximum permissible load is not exceeded
For moving by hand
The intended use is also understood to include regular safety checks of the product and compliance with the operating
and servicing conditions defined by the manufacturer.
1.2. Improper use
Any use other than the uses described under "Intended use" is considered improper. The operator bears sole liability for
any damage arising from such use. The following uses, in particular, are explicitly prohibited:
Use of the product to support other climbing aids or for any work above the specified maximum height (see
order confirmation)
Use of the product as a stair tower or to bridge a gap to gain access to other climbing aids or buildings
Use of the product as an attachment point for lifting tackle, hoists or similar equipment
Use of the product to transport tools or pieces of equipment
Use of the product to transport personnel
Use of a towing truck to move the product
Long-term outdoor use
Use in areas with explosion risk
Plus all other types of use not explicitly listed above as an approved intended use
1.3. Spatial limits
Total width: 2.0 m; total length: 4 m; maximum platform height: 4.25 m, equivalent to a maximum working
height of 6.00 m
Access options: access via a ladder with safety cage, or via a hook-on push-up ladder or via quadruple-beam
steps
Main working area: platform, with access via steps or a ladder
The product is moved along manually and positioned above or next to the machine or vehicle to be serviced.
