- Press a bulton corresponding to one of the 6
"Bass timbres to choose where the user-deti-
ned timbre will be stored in the memory (The
LED lights up).
- Press the Custom push-button next to the
"Bass" section (LED on),
- 6 user defined bass timbres can be program-
med: the procedure is the same as thal used in
programming the ORCHESTRA sounds.
Note - The memorized timbres remain in the
memory even when the instrument is switched
off as long as the adapter plug is connected to
the mains or as long as the batlery case re-
mains inserted in the instrument.
Cutting off
the power means
that the "Cu-
stom" timbres preset by ihe manufacturers are
automatically restored,
MIDI
(Musical Instrument Digital Interface)
The MIDI system is a method of sanding "mes-
sages" (both transmission
and recerving) é-
ther between
musical instruments or between
musical instruments and a computer: the mes-
Sages are the suitably coded functions of the
insirumernts.
The trasmission and receiving, using the MIDI
system, of the functions fo/fram a second in-
strument/apparatus, equipped with the same
system, is automatic once the IN and OUT so-
ckets of this instrument are connected to the
OUT
and
IN of the second
insitument
by
means of the connecting leads which are sup-
flied as an optional accessory,
Note
- "Apparatus",
can
mean
a computer,
expander or sequencer.
This instrument transmits the sections listed la-
ter in the OMNI OFF mode. This means that
@ach function has its own trasmission channel,
The
instrument/apparatus receiving the MIDI
messages must be preset to receive in the OM-
Nirmode. | will racenve the functions on separa-
te channels if it is equipped with OMNI OFF
and will receive all the functions on a single
channel if itis equipped with OMNI ON.
TRASMISSION (Tx Channel Select)
This instrument trasmits the following in the MI-
DI code: the notes played in the ORCHESTRA
and ACCOMPANIMENT sections as well as the
notes from. the BASS section when the "Auto-
matic" facility
& used and ihe note pattern ihe
AUTO SOLOIST feature (to transmit the notes
ACCOMPANIMENT
and
BASS

des of the notes if the preset channels corre-
spond to those previously descnbed,
- For example,

ted in MIDI cade to the instrument/apparatus
connected. The same notes can be heard au-
tomatically and with the same timbre as thal
chosen on the receiving instrument.

TRANSMISSION (Tx Channel Select)
Cet instrument transmet en code MIDI les notes

ainsi que le dessin des notes qui correspond a
la fonction AUTO SOLOIST (pour la transmis-
sion des notes ACCOMPANIMENT
et BASS.
Vous devez sélecthonner un timbre dans la sec-
thon correspondannia.
Le systéme MIDI prévoit pour la transmission
16 canaux (section CHANNELS) numeérotes de
14176, Dans cet instrument, 65 tanaux stan-
dard & travers lesquels @ |'ongine la transmis-
sion est fixée, sont: len, 1 pour les notes jouses
dans la section "Orchestra", le n. 2 pour les
notes "Accompaniment", len. 4 pour les notes
dé la section "Bass" et finalement len. 6 pourle
dessin des notes de |""Auto Soloist",

Adapters am Stram angeschlossen bleiben.
Bei Stromentzug stehen autematisch die vom

nen mit dam System MIDI zu/von einem zwei-
ten Instrument/Apparat, das mit demselban
System ausgestattet ist, arfolgt automatisch
durch Verbindung der Anschiusse IN und OUT
dieses
Instrumentes
(sie befinden
sich
am
Boden des Instrumentes) mit den éntsprechen-
den Anschhissen
OUT und IN des zweiten
Instrumentes (das Verbindungskabel wird aut
Wunsch als Zubehor geliefert).
Hinweis - Mit Apparat sind Computer, Expan-
der oder Sequenzer gemeaint.
Dieses instrument Ubertragt die, im folgenden
aufgalisteten Sektionen auf OMNI OFF- Art.

Das Instrument/Apparat an das die MIDI- Mes-
sages geschickt werden, mui auf OMNI- Art
empfangen konnen. Es empfangt die Funktio-
nen auf qetrannten Kanalan, wenn es mit OMNI
OFF ausgestattet ist und auf einem einzigen
Kanal, wenn es auf OMNI ON- Art emfanat.
UBERTRAGUNG (Tx Channel Select)
Dieses Instrument dbertragt im MIDI- Kode die
auf den Sektionan ORCHESTRA, ACCOMPA-
NIMENT, gespielten Noten, und wenn mit "Au-
tomatic" gespielt wird, die Noten der Sektion
BASS
und
die Notenzeichnung,
die AUTO
SOLOIST enspricht (um die Noten ACCOMPA-
NIMENT und BASS zu ubermitteln, mula man
immer @ine Klangfarbe der eantsprechenden
Sektion wahlen).
Das MIDI- System hat fir die Ubertragung 16,
von
7 bis
16
numerierte,
Kanale
(Sektion
CHANNELS) zur Verfuigung.
In diesem Instrument sind die Standardkandle,
durch die die Ubertragung ursprungiich testae-
lagt ist, die folgenden:
Nr. 7 fir die, in der Sektion "ORCHESTRA"
gespielten Noten, Nr. 2 fur die "ACCOMPANI-
MENT" Noten, Nr. 4 fur die "BASS" Noten und
schiieBlich Mr. 6 fir die "Auto Soloist" Noten-
zeichnung.
- Das angeschliossene Instrument empfangt cie
Notenkodes, wenn die verfigbaren Kanale den
Vorher anwahnten antsprechan,
- Die Noten, die zum Beispiel nach Wahl einer
ORCHESTRA Stimme, auf der Tastatur gespielt
werden, werden aut derselben gehort; gleich-
zaitig werden
sie in MIDI-
Kode
auf das
angeschiossene
Instrument/Apparat
ubertra-
gen. Dieselben Noten konnen automatisch mit
der, auf dem zweiten Instrument gewahiten
Klanglarbe gehon werden.
