Replacement of lamps
WARNING!
Ultraviolet rays
Burn hazard for eyes and skin
►Only start up the unit with the protective cap
on.
►Never look into the sensor window without
wearing eye protection.
►Wear personal protective equipment (protective
goggles) .
NOTE
►Emitters must not be operated for more than
10,000 hours because this could cause the
emitter casing tube to break.
►Replace all emitters at the same time on units
with more than one emitter.
►The expected lifetime of the UV lamps is 8000
operating hours. Replace the lamps after 8000
operating hours at the latest. Replace all lamps
at the same time with units having more than
one lamp.
● Turn off the red main switch (4) at the switching cabinet.
● Close the shut-off valves.
● Remove the caps on both sides and disconnect the lamp connec-
tion cables.
● Unscrew the lamp protectors (2 screws per lamp).
● Pull out the UV lamps at the side with the cleaning device.
NOTE
►UV lamps must not be touched with bare
hands!
►Use cloth gloves!
►Fingerprints burn into the glass and can lead to
failures. Fingerprints must be removed with a
cloth soaked in alcohol before installation!
● Pull off springs and centring disks from the lamp sockets.
NOTE
► Due to the centring disks on the lamps, they
can only be removed and inserted in one
direction.
► The „noses" of the two centring disks must
always be orientated in the same direction.
