4.
Check the sight glass (2) while filling in the fuel.
The red mark in the sight glass (2) indicates the
minimum fill level.
5.
Retighten the fuel filler cap (1).
m ATTENTION!
Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine
stopped.
If the engine was in operation immediately before,
allow it to cool first. Never refuel the engine in a
building where the fuel vapour may come into con-
tact with flames or sparks.
Fuel is highly inflammable and explosive. When
handling fuels, you may suffer burns or other se-
vere injuries.
9.

Start up

Before starting the engine, make sure that the power
of the consumers corresponds to the capacities of the
power generator. Do not exceed the rated power. Do
not connect any consumers before starting the engine!
9.1
Starting the engine
m Attention! Danger of poisoning!
- Only use the device outdoors and never in closed or
poorly ventilated rooms.
Attention! Never allow the pull starter (14) to whip
back. This can result in damage.
1.
In cold conditions, move the choke lever (17) to the
CLOSED position by moving the lever to the right.
In warm conditions, move the choke lever (17) to
the OPEN position by moving the lever to the left.
2.
Set the fuel valve (15) to "ON".
3.
Set the on/off switch (12) to the "ON" position.
4.
Now pull the pull starter (14) and the engine should
start. If the engine does not start, repeat the pro-
cess.
5.
If the engine does not start even after several at-
tempts, read the "Troubleshooting" chapter.
6.
Return the choke lever (17) to the OPEN position
while the engine warms up.
Note:
If the engine is being started for the first time, several
tries are required to start until the fuel has been deliv-
ered from the fuel tank to the engine.
9.2
Switch off the engine (Fig. 1)
Allow the power generator to run for a short time (ap-
prox. 30 seconds) without load before switching it off so
that it can "cool down".
1.
Set the on/off switch (13) to the "OFF" position.
2.
Set the fuel valve (16) to the "OFF" position.
3.
Disconnect the power consumers from the device.
9.3
Voltage indicator (8) (Fig. 1)
The voltage indicator (8) is active when the engine is
running and shows the output voltage.
9.4
Overload protection - circuit breaker 230 V
(7) (Fig. 1)
The overload protection becomes active if the power
consumption is too high and switches off the 230 V
socket (6). The circuit breaker 230 V (7) is automatical-
ly set to the "OFF" position.
1.
Switch the device off as described in section 10.2.
2.
Disconnect the consumers from the device.
3.
Wait a minute.
4.
Set the 230 V breaker (7) to "ON".
Attention! Defective circuit breakers may only be re-
placed with identical circuit breakers with the same
power data. Contact customer service for this.
9.5
"RESET" button for 12 V (Fig. 1)
If the overload protection has been triggered, the "RE-
SET" button (11) restores the output power of the power
generator. It is then not necessary to restart the engine.
1.
Wait a minute.
2.
Press the "RESET" button (11).
9.6
Charging external devices (Fig. 1)
m DANGER!
Danger due to incorrect charging.
1.
Plug the adapter cable with 12 V terminals (C) into
the 12 V DC connection (10) provided for this.

10. Cleaning and maintenance

Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work,
switch off the engine and remove the spark plug con-
nector (18) from the spark plug (19).
ATTENTION! Danger of burning! Wait until the de-
vice has cooled down before performing cleaning or
maintenance work.
