4.4 Operation parameters

1. The appliance can only reach the relevant temperatures when:
a. the a ambient temperature meets the climatic class.
b. the doors close properly.
c. you do not open the doors too often or too long.
d. the door seals are in proper condition.
e. the appliance is properly positioned.
f. you have not overfilled the appliance.
g. you do not store warm or hot food in the appliance.
2. High ambient temperatures and simultaneously operating at the coldest setting
may make the compressor operate permanently to keep constant temperature
inside the appliance.
3. Defrost the freezer compartment regularly.

4.5 Proper storage

For proper air circulation, leave the glass shelf above the crisper in its position. The
other shelves are height-adjustable. Pull the shelf forwards until you can swivel it up-
/downwards; then remove the shelf. Proceed in reverse order when installing the
shelf.
Store covered or packaged food in the appliance only so the smell or taste of the
food will not diffuse. The following materials are suitable for proper packaging:
❖ Food safe cling film/airtight bags and aluminium foil.
❖ Food safe covering hoods.
❖ Food safe containers made of plastic/glass/ceramics.
The cooling compartment is intended for the storage of fresh food and beverages.
❖ Store fresh, packaged food on the shelves, fresh fruit and vegetable in the crisper.
❖ Store fresh meat packaged in protective foil for max. 2 days.
❖ Let warm food such as cooked meals cool down before you store them in the
appliance.
❖ Store food in such a way that the cooled air can circulate properly.
❖ Do not place heavy bottles in the bottle pocket as it can come off the door.
The freezing compartment is intended for the long-term storage of frozen
products and for freezing fresh food. Observe the information of the manufacturer
given on the packaging of frozen food. Do not refreeze defrosted or thawed food.
