Operating the unit
By holding down the forward button, the wedge moves out; conversely,
by holding down the back button, the wedge moves back. When the
keys are released, the motor stops immediately. The motor running
time is not limited, the unit automatically detects the end points and
switches off the impact mechanism independently.
Reset
If the travel is not correct, the reset function can be started by pressing
the reset button for at least 1 second. The wedge automatically moves
to the starting point. If the starting point is not reached due to an
obstacle (e.g. dirt), the motor is stopped after 3 seconds (see
emergency stop).
When pressing the reset button, the wedge must not be in the
felling cut.
Emergency stop
If the wedge does not reach the starting point within approx. 3 s during
the "reset" function, the unit stops for safety reasons and no longer
allows any function. In this case, the status LED flashes red.
Reset emergency stop
To restore normal operation, you can press the Forward and Back
buttons simultaneously during the emergency stop phase.
Before resetting the "emergency stop", check that the wedge is not
blocked by any dirt that may have accumulated.
Switching off devices
The remote control and the felling wedge have an automatic switch-off
function. If no button on the remote control is pressed for 1 minute, the
system switches off automatically.
