8.5. Tips to extend the lifespan of the battery
You can extend the lifespan of the battery by caring for it properly and particularly by storing the
battery within the correct temperature range. This temperature range is indicated in the table of
technical specifications in the appendix of this manual.
Even if cared for properly, the capacity of the battery will decrease with age.
A clearly shorter use time after charging indicates that the battery is worn. You can replace the
battery.
9. Storage
9.1. On-board computer
The on-board computer has an energy saving mode, which decreases the discharge rate of the
internal battery. This causes the date and time to be lost.
Activate the storage mode by pressing the on/off button on the on-board computer b
least eight seconds.
If the on-board computer does not start up following a brief press on the on/off button b,

the storage mode is active.
Leave the storage mode by pressing the on/off button on the on-board computer b
two seconds.
9.2. Storing the battery during long periods of inactivity
If you will not be using the e-bike for longer than three months, store the battery with a charge
level of around 30% to 60% (two to three battery level LEDs).
Check the battery level after six months. If only one LED illuminates, charge the battery to
around 30% to 60%.
CAUTION
6
If you store the battery empty for a long period of time, it may be damaged despite the low self-
discharge rate. This can greatly diminish the battery capacity.
We recommend not leaving the battery attached to the charger for long periods of time.
