Brief instructions MultiSafe DSP 3HS36
Attention!
This is a shortened user instruction for everyday use. In order to assure safe operation, observe the
entire user instruction of the MultiSafe DSP 3HS36.
Follow the safety regulations, otherwise there is danger of life!
1.
Establishing contact
Before application the DSP 3HS36 has to be completely moounted (test electrode + basic pipe
+ test probe + display unit).
Firmly connect the contact clip with the ground potential
(preferably fixed ball point/conductor rail).

Function test
Attention!
Perform the function test before each voltage test.
Display-test / self-test:
As long as the on-off switch is pressed, all display segments appear. When you stop pressing the
on-off switch, "TEST" appears in the display. If the display of one or several systems fails in the
course of checking, the instrument must not be used again.
Function test:
Press the test electrode about 5 seconds to the ground potential until „Rdy" appears.
Do not touch the clip when checking the connection between clip and ground.
When the green LED gleams constantly and 000 V is indicated, the device is ready for operation.
In case the function test has not been successful, check the connection to ground.
Repeat the procedure.
In case once again the function test has not been successful, the device must not be used!
3.
Testing voltage
Attention!
The function test has to be performed successfully and the green LED must light up.
Hold the instrument only beneath its octagonal limiting disc! The test probes may only be
connected up to the red limiting mark to live or grounded plant components.

red LEDs light up, value appears on the illuminated display,
acoustic signal is emitted, mains frequency in the upper display line,
indication (flashing) still for 10 seconds after testing readible
green LED lights up, display dark, indication 000 V
