LED display
The LED
display serves to indicate the following
functions:
LED „ANT A" or „ANT B" lightens: One of
the two antennas receives an RF signal on the
selected frequency. An alternating lightening
up of these two LEDs indicates the true
diversity operation.
In case the LEDs lighten with the transmitter
switched off, the receiving frequency is
already occupied. Please select another
frequency for both the transmitter and the
receiver.
In case both LEDs do not lighten even though
the transmitter is switched on, please check
the transmitter! Is the transmitter ready for
operation? Is the storage battery charged?
Do transmitter and receiver operate on the
same frequency?
LED „RF" lightens: a RF voltage of > 10 µV
is applied to one of the two antennas. This
voltage is just sufficient for an interference-
free operation.
LED „AF" flickers in time: The AF signal is
being transmitted. This display allows to
monitor the adjustment of the transmitter's
sensitivity. An occasional flickering indicates
that the amplification of the transmitter should
be increased. When overloading the
transmitter, the LED lightens constantly
(danger of clipping!).
LED „POWER" lightens: The EK 4015 is
switched on and the supply voltage is applied.
Nota: After switching on the receiver, you
have to wait for approx. 2 seconds until the
control LED „POWER" lightens. The receiver
requires this time to adjust to the frequency
selected (PLL locking).
