10.4.5 Setting the stop length (fig. 15)
To avoid the material to be cut becoming jammed, the
stop rail (2a) can slide in a longitudinal direction.
Rule of thumb: The rear edge of the stop should inter-
sect an imaginary line that starts roughly at the centre
of the saw blade and runs to the rear at 45 °.
1. Set the required cutting width.
2. Undo the wing nuts (34).
3. Slide the stop rail (2a) far enough forward that it
touches the imaginary 45 ° line.
4. Retighten the wing nuts (34).
10.5 Using the transverse stop (fig. 13)
Do not push the stop rail (7a) too far towards the saw
blade (3). The distance between the stop rail (7a) and
the saw blade (3) needs to be approx. 2 cm.
10.5.1 Setting the transverse stop (fig. 17)
1. Secure the stop rail (7a) on the transverse stop (7)
by tightening the wing nut (7b).
2. Slide the transverse stop (7) into one of the two
guide grooves of the saw table.
3. Loosen the locking handle (7c) and turn the trans-
verse stop (7) until the desired angle has been
set.
4. Turn the locking handle (7c) again.

11. Sawing

m WARNING!
Danger of injury due to incorrect mounting
- Check that the product is properly assembled.
- Check the saw blade for mobility and the moving
parts for ease of movement.
ATTENTION!
Wait after the saw has been switched on, until the saw
blade (6) has reached full speed, before starting the
cutting process.

11.1 Working instructions

m WARNING!
Danger of injury!
Improper handling may result in serious injury.
- Observe and follow the safety and working
instructions.
• When making longitudinal cuts, do not stand in front
of the circular table saw, but position yourself at an
angle to the cut.
• Always use the parallel stop for angled cuts.
• Use a push stick or wooden push block in order to
guide the workpiece past the saw blade. Replace a
damaged or worn push stick.
• Secure larger workpieces against tipping after the
cutting process. To do so, use for example a reel-off
stand.
40 | GB
• After the circular table saw has been switched on,
wait until the saw blade has reached full speed, be-
fore starting the cutting process.
• Only operate the table saw with an extraction sys-
tem.
• After every new setting, we recommend performing
a test cut, in order to check the dimensional set-
tings.
• Check and clean the extraction channels at regular
intervals.
11.2 Performing longitudinal cuts (fig. 18)
With a longitudinal cut, you cut a workpiece in its lon-
gitudinal direction. Hold the edge of the workpiece
against the parallel stop (2), whilst the flat side lies on
the saw table.
1. Adjust the parallel stop (2) according to the work-
piece height and the desired width (see 10.4).
2. When sawing, the saw blade guard (5) is pushed
by the workpiece.
3. Switch on the extraction system and then the cir-
cular table saw.
4. Place your hands flat on the workpiece with your
fingers closed and slide it along the parallel stop
(2) into the saw blade (3).
5. Guide the workpiece sideways by holding it only
with the left hand up to the front edge of the saw
blade guard (5).
6. Always push the workpiece through to the end of
the riving knife (4) with the push stick (24).
11.2.1 Performing angled cuts (fig. 19)
Angled cuts are always made using the parallel stop
(2). The parallel stop (2) must always be fitted to the
right of the saw blade. Otherwise, workpieces can be-
come jammed between the parallel stop (2) and the
saw blade (3) during sawing and ejected at speed.
1. Set the saw blade (3) to the desired angle (see
10.3).
2. Adjust the parallel stop (2) according to the work-
piece height and the desired width (see 10.4).
3. Lower the saw blade guard (5) onto the saw table.
4. Make the cut according to the workpiece width
(see 11.2).
11.3 Performing longitudinal cuts (fig. 20)
m WARNING!
Risk of injury from rotating parts and sharp edges
- Hold the workpiece firmly.
- Push the workpiece with the transverse stop until
it is completely cut through.
1. Set the transverse stop (7) as required (see fig.
10.5.1). If the saw blade is also inclined, push the
transverse stop (7) into the right guide groove.
This will prevent your hand and the transverse
stop (7) from coming into contact with the saw
blade guard (5).
