2. Do not overtighten the screw (5a); the saw blade
guard (4) must remain free to move.
3. Ensure that the saw blade guard (5) can move
freely.
4. Disassembly takes place in reverse order.
m WARNING!
Danger of injury due to incorrect fitted saw blade guard
- Before starting sawing, ensure that the saw blade
guard (5) automatically lowers onto the material
to be sawn.
8.6.2 Checking the saw blade guard
After fitting, check that the saw blade guard (5) is
functioning properly.
1. Lift the saw blade guard (5) and then release it.
2. The saw blade guard (5) should automatically
move back to its starting position.
8.7 Parallel stop
8.7.1 Fitting the saw blade guard (fig. 12)
1. To mount the stop rail (2a), insert the carriage
bolts (36) through the parallel stop (2) and place
the wing nuts (34) with washers (35) on the op-
posite side.
2. Now push the stop rail (2a) through the carriage
bolts (36).
3. Secure the stop rail (2a) by tightening the wing
nuts (34) until hand.
8.7.2 Adjusting the parallel stop (fig. 13)
1. First place the parallel stop (2) with open eccen-
tric lever (2e) on the rear guide rail (22), then on
the front guide rail (8) on the saw table.
2. To change the position of the parallel stop (2),
slide the parallel stop (2) with open eccentric lever
(2e) along the guide rail (8 + 22).
3. To secure the parallel stop (2) in the desired po-
sition, press the eccentric lever (2e) fully down-
wards.
8.8 Inserting the scale (fig. 8)
1. Turn the saw blade (3) to the maximum position
out of the saw table by turning the crank wheel
(13) counterclockwise until it reaches the stop.
2. Push the scale (26) into the guide groove of the
guide rail (8) until it is approximately centred.
3. Position the parallel stop (2) with open eccentric
lever (2e) on the guide rails (8 + 22) on the saw
table such that it makes contact with the saw blade.
4. Secure this position by pressing the eccentric le-
ver (2e) fully downwards.
5. Align the zero point of the scale (26) with the sight
glass of the parallel stop (2) and secure this po-
sition with the two enclosed slotted-head screws
(27).

8.9 Fitting the transverse stop (fig. 17)
1. Slide the transverse stop (7) into the groove of the
saw table.
2. Loosen the locking handle (7c) by turning it coun-
terclockwise.
3. Turn the transverse stop (7) until the arrow points
to the desired angle.
4. Secure this position by turning the locking handle
(7c) clockwise.
8.10 Connecting an extraction system (fig. 16)
m WARNING!
Danger of injury for eyes due to swirling chips
- Wear eye protection.
- Only operate the product with a suitable chip ex-
traction system. Do not use a common house-
hold vacuum cleaner.
1. Connect the suction hose (23) to the suction noz-
zle (21) and the saw blade guard (5).
2. Connect the suction hose of a suitable chip suc-
tion system to the suction nozzle (21).
ATTENTION!
Check and clean the extraction channels at regular
intervals.

9. Before commissioning

9.1 General notes

• Check that the product is fully assembled.
• Check that the safety covers are present, installed
and functional.
• Check that the switches work as intended.
• Check that the product is on a firm footing.
• Check that the labels on the product are present
and legible. Missing or damaged labels must be re-
placed or exchanged.
• Check that the mains voltage and the operating
voltage match, see Technical data.
• Check that the supply lines, extensions, cable drum,
etc. are not too long. Otherwise there may be a drop
in voltage or delay in motor start-up.
• Check that the ambient temperature is observed.
9.2 Product-specific notes
• The machine must be securely installed.
• It must be possible for the saw blade to run freely.
• In case of previously machined wood, be aware of
any foreign bodies, such as nails or screws, etc.
• Before pressing the on/off switch (11), make sure
that the saw blade (3) is correctly fitted, and that
moving parts run smoothly.
• Only connect the machine to a correctly installed
protective contact socket, with fuse protection of at
least 16 A.
