INSTALLATION

Installing the ceramic hob
• The kitchen area should be dry and sufficiently ventilated. During installation, make
sure that all operating elements are easily accessible.
• This is a Y-type built-in hob, which means that the back panel and one of the side
panels can be placed next to a high piece of furniture or a wall. The coating or
veneer used for the built-in furniture must be heat-resistant up to at least 100 °C.
This prevents deformation or detachment of the coating.
• Install cooker hoods in accordance with the respective manufacturer's operating
instructions.
Important instructions
• Observe the minimum distances required
for sufficient ventilation (see drawing).
• There are ventilation openings around
the outside of the ceramic hob. You must
ensure that these ventilation openings are
not blocked by the worktop when you
position the ceramic hob correctly (see
illustration).
• Never use silicone to seal the opening,
as this makes it difficult to remove the
ceramic hob from the recess in the
worktop, which can cause problems,
especially when the appliance needs
servicing.
Assembling the ceramic hob
• Make sure that you cut out the worktop so that the dimensions given in the
instruction manual correspond to the recess in the worktop.
• Make sure the gasket is properly seated everywhere. Carefully lower the ceramic
hob into the recess and align it correctly.
