Flushing the Tubular Shaft

Danger of injury from flushing water!
There is a risk of splashing when flushing the tubular shaft using the intended flushing adapter!
• Perform the flushing process carefully.
• Protect eye area!
Use of hydrogen peroxide can lead to premature wear of the instrument and thus reduce its lifetime.

Machine Cleaning and Disinfection

Recommendations for machine cleaning: Validation acc. to DIN EN ISO 15883 and information to be
provided acc. to DIN EN ISO 17664. Cleaning with other process parameters, validated according to
DIN EN ISO 15883, is possible
• Before connecting the accesses of the flushing adapter to the flushing system of the washer-disinfector
(WD), check for patency.

• To clean the tubular shaft (1) thoroughly inside,
attach the flushing adapter (2), making sure that
it clicks in place audibly.
• Pulse-flush the tubular shaft for 10 s via the two
accesses (4) of the flushing adapter using the
water jet gun.
• Ultrasonic cleaning
− with e.g. neodisher
solution 0.5% at max. 40 °C for 5 min.
• Thoroughly clean tubular shaft for 10 s through
the two accesses (4) of the flushing adapter using
the water gun.
• Check the jaw part for cleanliness.
− Repeat the cleaning process if required.
• After cleaning, release the flushing adapter (2) by
pressing the red unlocking button (3) and remove
it.
