If available, fold empty satellite bag(s) and pack differently depending on the appropriate accessories and filling
volume of the blood bag.
It is a good idea to fold the satellite bags and pack them on the outside between the folded support plate and the
outer wall of the insert.
→ Make sure that the silicone plate does not slip while doing this!
→ If necessary, the silicone plate can be held by the loop when packing the satellite bag and thus held against it
→ The position of the loop must be checked afterwards!
•
Place the connections over the support plate so that the valves cannot break.
Make sure the tubes do not protrude from the insert!
→ Stow tube sections protruding over the edge of the insert between the folded down support plate and the
insert wall.
•
Balance weights should be placed between the folded down support plate and the bucket wall if needed.

Insert the blood bag (a) into the insert (b).
b
a
•
Hold the blood bag at the connections (c)
d
and push the support plate (d) on the outer
side of the blood bag from top to bottom into
the insert
c
•
Make sure that the lower edge of the
support plate rests as completely as
possible on the floor.
e
•
Fold the support plate outwards and push it
down until the folded edge of the support
plate is level with the liquid level of the
blood bag.
•
The position of the loop (e) must be
observed so that it can be reached after
centrifugation!
•
The upper edge of the support plate must
not protrude too far from the insert during
centrifugation due of the risk of jamming
with the rotor arms!
