Calibrate the Quadrocopter

Before your first flight, you should calibrate the compass and the gyro-
scope in the quadrocopter [1]. Calibration should be performed before
each flight and if the flight characteristics of the quadrocopter [1] have
deteriorated after a collision or crash.
The quadrocopter [1] must be switched on and standing on a flat surface
when doing this. Switch on the remote control [5] and connect the quadro-
copter [1] to the WIFI of your smartphone. Open the app.
Calibrate the compass
1. Move the two control levers [12] / [21] of the remote control [5] simul-
taneously to the positions 1 o'clock (left) and 11 o'clock (right). The
position LEDs [30] and [37]on the quadrocopter [1] now flash quickly
blue and red (rear) and white and red (front).
2. The app displays the following status: "Compass calibration".
3. Pick up the quadrocopter [1] horizontally from the rear
and turn around once with the quadrocopter in your
hand. hand once around 360°.
4. The rear position LEDs [37] now light up blue continuously.
5. Now hold the quadrocopter [1] with the camera pointed
pointing towards the ground and turn once again
through 360°.
