First Steps
Switching on the quadrocopter
To prepare the quadrocopter [1] for the first flight, please follow the steps
below.
1. Unfold the rotor arms [33] of the quadrocopter [1]. The rotor arms [33]
engage noticeably in the end position.
2. Place the quadrocopter [1] on a flat surface.
3. Switch on the quadrocopter [1] by pressing the on/off button [40] of the
quadrocopter [1] until all 4 charging indicator LEDs [39] are illuminated.
Release the power button [40]. The position LEDs [30] and [37] light up
blue briefly and then start flashing red.
4. Switch on the remote control [5], the readiness LED [25] lights up white.
Move the left control lever [21] forwards and then backwards so that
the remote control [5] connects to the quadrocopter [1]. After successful
connection, the rear position LEDs [37] flash blue and the front position
LEDs [30] flash white.
5. If the position LEDs [37] and [30] flash blue and red quickly after swit-
ching on, please calibrate the compass as described on page 78. You
can start directly with point 3 in chapter "Calibrating the compass".
6. Connect the quadrocopter [1] to the WIFI of your smartphone. To do
this, open the WIFI options of your smartphone and search for the WIFI
signal "Rollei Fly 100pro". Connect to this network. You will not be
asked for a WIFI password. Please note that you will not receive internet
on your smartphone for the duration of this connection.
7. Open the app on your smartphone.
