Flight Safety
For your own safety and that of bystanders, it is important that you know
the basic flight rules. Remember to read the safety guidelines before flying.
– Always fly over open areas only.
– Fly only when you receive a strong enough GPS signal.
– Always maintain visual contact with your quadrocopter.
– Always stay below an altitude of 100 metres.
– Avoid flying over or near obstacles, crowds, power lines, trees, airfields
and water features.
– Do not fly near sources of strong electromagnetic radiation such as
power lines or radio stations as these may interfere with the built-in
compass.
– Do not operate the quadrocopter in poor weather conditions such as
rain, snowfall, fog or high wind speeds. Be sure to observe no-fly zones.
See also the chapter "Wind" on page 106.
– Stay away from spinning motors and rotors.
– Pay attention to the current wind situation. The quadrocopter may only
be flown when there is no wind!
