Prepare the remote control

First fold out the two handles [15] of the remote control [5] using the two
notches on the back of the handles [15]. You can now hold the remote
control [5] more easily.

Battery status display

Using the provided free app (page 93 et seq.), you can control the quadro-
copter [1] simultaneously with the remote control [5] and follow the live
image of the camera. Download the free app "Fly GPS" from the Google
Play Store or the "Rollei Fly GPS" from the iOS App Store and install it on
your smartphone.
To do this, it is best to use the smartphone holder [10] of the remote con-
trol [5]. Fold up the smartphone holder [10] in the middle of the remote
control [5]. Pull the upper end of the smartphone holder [10] upwards until
your smartphone can be inserted between the two clamps of the smart-
phone holder [10].
Make sure that the display of your smartphone is oriented in the direction
of the controls of the remote control [5]. Then carefully lower the upper
clamp of the smartphone holder [10] again until the smartphone is clam-
ped in and is suitably tight and secure.
Carefully shake the remote control [2] to check whether your smartphone
is really firmly seated in the smartphone holder [10].
Now unfold the two antennas [9] of the remote control [5] and point them
forwards.
