6.2.1 Installing the AWARD CARDWARE

Requirements
Never install the Cardware on a PC without a PCMCIA slot.
Procedure
When installing the Cardware, follow the steps below:
Step
1 Make sure that there is no PCMCIA card in your PCMCIA slot.
2 Start the 'setup.exe' program on the CD in the folder 'SW\cp_5511\award\disk1'.
3 Follow the instructions of the installation program.
4 Confirm or change the destination folder.
5 If your computer is listed:
Select the platform suitable for your PC.
If your computer is not listed:
Select an adapter family, for example 'PCIC compatible controller' (recommended
setting if you do not know your controller type).
6 Confirm the hardware profile for which the Cardware was installed. If you want to use the CP
5511, you must always select this profile when you boot the computer.
