When you install the Cardware, the installation program checks which

resources (interrupts, memory) are already being used by other

components. These are entered in the registry and are not available to
the Cardware. This method is intended to avoid device conflicts.
Depending on the system, resources are occasionally claimed by two
components. In this case, the registry must be changed manually.
If you want to prevent certain interrupts or memory ranges being used
by PC cards, note the following points.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PCCS\Resources

Under resources, you can make further entries. Examples:
"XIRQ,6,E" prevents the use of Interrupt 6.
"XMEM,0xA0000,0x30000,E" prevents the use of memory range 0xA0000 to 0xCFFFF.
Update the total number of entries.
These resources can no longer be assigned by the Cardware.
After modifications in the registry, you must reboot your PC.
