8. Setting up

Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, vibrations, dust, hot and cold temperatures or damp environments. The
device must not be placed next to powerful transformers or motors.
Make sure you position the device in a safe and stable place, away from objects that might fall on it, thereby
avoiding unwanted accidents.
Given the variety of paints and varnishes used to coat furniture, it cannot be ruled out that the device feet
could leave visible traces on furniture due to a chemical reaction. Do not place the device on top of valuable
furniture without appropriate protection.
Place the device on a flat, level surface that can support its load.

9. Getting started

a) Charging the battery
The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery is charged with the supplied USB-C charging
cable.
The USB port or USB adapter used to charge the built-in rechargeable battery must provide a voltage of
5 V DC and a minimum load-bearing capacity of 1 A. Standard USB interfaces used in computers are often
not powerful enough to charge the battery. The charging source must not be overloaded to prevent dam-
age.
The device can be used while the battery is charging, but it will take more time to charge the battery. Fully
charge the battery before using the device for the first time.
1. Insert the small USB-C plug of the supplied charging cable into the USB-C DC IN 5V port (14).
2. Connect the large USB plug of the supplied charging cable to the USB adapter output or any other suitable
USB port.
3. The charging indicator (15) lights up red during charging.
4. When the battery is fully charged, the charging indicator (15) turns green.
When the device is switched on, the battery status icon is displayed in the top line:
40
Battery status: the more segments light up, the higher the battery status; if the icon flashes,
the battery must be charged
The rechargeable battery is charging
The battery is fully charged and the device is connected to the power supply.
