Inhaling with the adult mask
CAUTION
Impaired treatment due to escaping aerosol
If the mask does not form a seal on the face, aerosol may
escape. This may result in medication underdosage.
• Make sure that the mask completely covers both corners
of the mouth and the nose.
• Take note of possible side effects caused by escaping
aerosol. These are described in the information for use of
the respective medication.
• Place the VORTEX with mask
on the face.
• Begin breathing in slowly and
deeply through the mouth.
While breathing in, press the
metered dose inhaler to re-
lease a puff of spray.
• Hold your breath briefly.
• Then breathe out slowly
through the mask.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, one breath is
enough to inhale the medication from the VORTEX.
Use of the one-handed operation aid
The one-handed operation aid is used to make it easier to ac-
tuate the metered dose inhaler:
• Place your hand around the VORTEX so that your fingers
are resting lightly on the one-handed operation aid.
• Press the one-handed operation aid down to release a puff
of spray.
• Loosen your grip again.
