Cleaning the oven

CAUTION
Risk of burns!
The appliance and its accessible parts
become hot during use. Care should be
taken to avoid touching heating ele-
ments.
■ Leave the appliance to cool com-
pletely before cleaning it.
■ Never pour water directly onto the
hot oven. The steam produced can
cause scalding and damage to the
enamel.
■ Always allow hot water from the oven
to cool before pouring it out.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Harsh cleaning agents, scouring pow-
ders, steel wool, oven sprays, high-pres-
sure or steam cleaners can damage the
surfaces. High-pressure cleaners can
cause a short circuit.
■ For cleaning purposes, do not use
any harsh cleaning agents or scour-
ing powders, steel wool, oven sprays,
steam cleaners or high-pressure
cleaners.
Cleaning the front of the
housing
After cooling, thoroughly clean the surfac-
es with warm rinsing water or all-purpose
cleaner.
For stainless steel surfaces, you can also
use special care products made just for
stainless steel surfaces.
Cleaning the oven
Cleaning the cooking
compartment
Only switch on the cooking compartment
light for cleaning.
As far as possible, clean the cooking
compartment and baking tray guides after
every use with warm rinsing water.
Clean the door seal in the same way, but
be very careful as it is only attached in
certain places, and is otherwise loose.

Steam cleaning

Steam cleaning is a wet cleaning process
that uses steam to remove light stains and
dirt. That's how you clean the cooking com-
partment in an energy-efficient manner while
conserving materials.
1. Remove the oven rack (9) and the baking
tray (10).
2. Slide the dripping pan (11) into the lowest
rack level and pour about 0.5 l of water
into it.
3. Turn the function switch (15) to top and
bottom heat and the temperature control-
ler (18) to 100 °C.
4. After 30 minutes of operation, switch the
appliance off again and allow everything
to cool down until the cooking compart-
ment walls are merely lukewarm.
5. Use oven gloves or something similar to
remove the dripping pan from the oven
and pour away the remaining water.
6. Wipe the walls of the cooking compart-
ment with a damp cloth or sponge.
7. Rinse off the oven rack, baking tray and
dripping pan.
