The supply voltage and the RANGE1 / RANGE2 and MEASURE / RESET
control inputs are electrically isolated from the measuring circuit.
ATTENTION
If either the transducer or the charge amplifier are replaced,
calibration is no longer valid. Incorrect measured values
could be displayed and/or forwarded to downstream
evaluating electronics.
The data stored in TEDS are only valid for the particular
two part measuring chain (see Section 6.3). The data of the
TEDS chip may have to be changed or re written.

6.1 TEDS transducer identification

TEDS stands for "Transducer Electronic Data Sheet". An electronic data sheet
per the IEEE 1451.4 standard is stored in the charge amplifier of the
piezoelectric measurement chain, making it possible for the downstream
evaluating electronics to be set up automatically. The suitably equipped
evaluating electronics import the measuring chain characteristics (electronic
data sheet), translate them into its own settings and measurement can start.
Switching from Range1 to Range 2 automatically makes the valid TEDS
information available as well.
TEDS has to be re imported by the downstream evaluating electronics.
A digital identification system is available at PIN 4 (to ground). The basis for
this is a DS2433 1 wire EEPROM, made by Maxim/Dallas.
Content of TEDS memory per IEEE 1451.4:
The information in the TEDS memory is organized into templates which are
prestructured to store defined groups of data in table form. Only the entered
values are stored in the TEDS memory itself.
The amplifier firmware assigns the interpretation of the respective numerical
values. This places a very low demand on the TEDS memory.
