13. Disposal
a) General information
Please dispose of the inoperative product according to the current legal
regulations.
b) Battery/rechargeable battery disposal
As an end user you are legally obligated (Battery regulation) to dispose of
exhausted batteries and rechargeable batteries properly; it is not permitted to
dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries in the domestic refuse!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are
marked with the following symbols which point out that they are not
allowed to be disposed of in the domestic refuse. The markings for
hazardous heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = Plumb (the marking is on the battery/rechargeable battery e. g.
under the dust bin symbols painted left).
You can return your exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries free
of charge to any authorized disposal station in your area, in our stores
or in any other store where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
Thus, you comply with your legal obligations and make your contribution to
environmental protection.

1. Prescribed use

The 3-channel-radio-weather station "BAR 923" displays the indoor
temperature and indoor humidity (sensor is integrated into the base unit).
Furthermore, the unit displays the temperature, transmitted from a remote
sensor to the base unit (one remote sensor is included, a total of maximum 3
sensors can be used).
The unit stores maximum/minimum indoor/outdoor temperature and indoor
humidity readings.
The weather station features a built-in DCF receiver which allows to display the
exact time and date (manual setting of time and date is possible).
A barometer, integrated into the weather station, (barometric pressure
measuring device) is designed to forecast the weather, graphically displaying it
in the form of symbols.
Also features a built-in alarm clock (switchable on/off).
Any use other than the one described above damages the product. Moreover,
this involves other dangers (e.g., short-circuit, fire, etc.).
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt.
Always observe the safety notes included in these operating
instructions.
