Einsatzhinweise für MiniWarn in Anlehnung an die Eignungs-
untersuchung der DMT (PFG-Nr. 413 001 01 P)
Das tragbare Gaswarngerät Miniwarn der Firma Dräger
Safety AG & Co. KGaA ist auf Grundlage der im Prüfbericht PFG-
Nr. 41300101P enthaltenen Messergebnisse und der in diesem
Bericht enthaltenen Ausführungen zur Messung von Methan im
Gemisch mit Luft bei Volumengehalten bis zur unteren
Explosionsgrenze, Kohlenmonoxid bis 1000 ppm CO, Schwefel-
wasserstoff bis 100 ppm H
S, Sauerstoff bis 25 % O
2
auf den Einsatzzweck des Gerätes zur Überwachung der
Umgebungsluft auf Sauerstoffmangel oder -überschuss), sowie
zur Warnung vor Kohlendioxid bei Konzentrationen bis 5 % CO
geeignet, wenn es in seinen Eigenschaften und in der Ausführung
den im Prüfbericht PFG-Nr. 41300101P genannten Unterlagen
entspricht, dementsprechend betrieben wird und wenn folgende
Auflagen eingehalten werden:
– Die der DMT vorgelegte und geprüfte Betriebsanleitung ist
genau zu beachten. Beim Einsatz des Gaswarngerätes ist
sicherzustellen, dass die darin festgelegten Betriebsbedin-
gungen eingehalten werden.
– Vor dem Einsatz des Gaswarngerätes ist zu prüfen, ob die
Einstellzeiten ausreichend gering sind, damit die durch das
Gerät ausgelöste Warnfunktion so schnell ausgeführt wird,
dass sicherheitlich bedenkliche Situationen vermieden
werden. Erforderlichenfalls ist die Alarmschwelle deutlich
unterhalb des sicherheitstechnischen Grenzwertes
einzustellen.
– Bei Einsatz bei hohen Temperaturen und hohen Luftfeuchten
ist zu berücksichtigen, dass der Messwert im Sauerstoff-
Messbereich deutlich erhöht ist. Gegebenenfalls ist das Gerät
vor Einsatz unter Einsatzbedingungen zu justieren.

Recommendations for use of MiniWarn based on the
DMT qualification test (PFG No. 413 001 01P)
On the basis of the measured values set out in the test report PFG No.
41300101P and the information contained in that report, the portable
multi-gas monitor MiniWarn built by Messrs. Dräger Safety AG & Co.
KGaA can be used to measure methane gas in mixtures containing air
in volumetric concentrations up to the lower explosion limit, carbon
monoxide up to 1000 ppm CO, hydrogen sulphide up to 100 ppm

intended use for monitoring oxygen shortages or excess oxygen in
ambient air), as well as for warning against carbon dioxide in concen-
trations up to 5% CO
2
with the documents specified in test report PFG No. 41300101P and
provided that it is operated accordingly and the following require-
ments are met:
– The operating manual submitted to and reviewed by DMT must be
strictly observed. When using the gas monitor, care must be
taken to ensure compliance with the operating conditions speci-
fied in the manual.
– Before using the gas monitor, the set times must be checked to
ensure they are sufficiently short for the warning function triggered
by the instrument to be executed quickly enough to avoid poten-
tially hazardous situations. If necessary, the alarm threshold must
be set to a value well below the limit value permitted for safety
reasons.
– When using the gas monitor at high temperatures and in high
humidity, it should be noted that the value measured in the oxygen
measuring range will be distinctly elevated. If necessary, the instru-
ment must be calibrated under service conditions before being
used.
