2. Your SECACAM
Lens: The SECACAM Explorer sports an optimised lens with a diagonal angle
of view of 60°.
ON/SETUP/OFF switch: In the "ON"-position the camera is ready for use.
You can change the settings on the monitor by sliding the ON/SETUP/OFF
switch to the SETUP setting. We have already prepared your SECACAM with
batteries, memory- and SIM card.
Light sensor: Measures the light intensity. Depending on the lighting con-
ditions, the camera automatically selects one of three imaging modes: color
imaging (during daylight), black and white imaging (twilight) or black and white
with flash imaging (night time).
Infrared sensor: The passive infrared sensor (PIR) recognizes moving heat
sources and triggers the camera. The sensitivity of the sensor can be set in
the menu.
Status indicator: The red LED light indicates that the camera has just been
turned on, but is not recording yet. The light will turn off once the camera is
completely activated and functional (2 to 10 sec.).
