3.5 Inserting the SIM

The SECACAM 5000 Explorer uses a SIM.
The mobile functions of the camera function exclusively with the
already provided SIM. SIMs from other providers are not comp-
atible with your SECACAM 5000 Explorer.
Please do not take the SIM out of the camera or switch it with
another SIM. Not even from another SECACAM.
The SIM card port is located right below the LCD display, on the left side of
the camerabody. Insert the SIM card with the metal contacts facing down
and the slanted corner facing to the left into the port until it is locked in
place.

4. Operation

4.1 Switch Settings

After the SECACAM 5000 Explorer is equiped with antenna, batteries, SIM
and a memory card, the camera is basically ready and can be operated with
the factory settings.
I. Switch OFF/SETUP/ON: In the ON posi-
tion – the camera is on and ready for use!
II. Switch OFF/SETUP/ON: In the SETUP
position - The camera display is now on
and you can preview your photos, chan-
ge the camera settings and adjust the
camera capturing area.
III. Switch OFF/SETUP/ON: In the OFF posi-
tion, your camera is turned off. In this po-
sition the remote control for your camera
will also not work.
