If the module password is lost, contact
module password.
Warning!
The Safety expert body is responsible to ensure that only authorized people have
access to Balluff SNCT software to perform Reset Password command. Baluff does not
ensure identification of the people asking a Reset code.
To perform a "Reset Password", follow the procedure:
1. Launch the SNCT
2. Open the module configuration (File/Open)
3. Select the network interface
4. Do a module discovery
5. Double click on the module to select it
6. Go Online to connect the module (Action/Online)
7. Do Reset Password (Action / Additional Tools / Reset Password)
Warning!
The Environment Code is different for each module. A new Environment Code is
generated after each Reset Password done successfully in a module, so Reset Code
can used successfully only one time.
8. Visit the Balluff support site https://www.balluff.com/support. Send an email to the referenced support
address:
a. In the subject line "CIP Safety I/O Module – Reset Password Request"
b. In the body, copy and paste the Environment Code (in this example "1E2F2-43007")
9. Balluff Technical Support team will manage the request within the business open hours. A Reset Code
will be provided in around 24h after reception of the request.
10. At reception of the answers redo operation 1 to 7 and then replace the ### in the Enter Reset Code
fields by the received value:
