You can feel the shift cable clearance by gently
pulling on the end caps of the gear cables that
run into the twist grip.

A clearance of 0.5 mm per pull is ideal. More
than 2 mm clearance can adversely affect the
gear shift quality of the system and the service
life of the shift cable.

To adjust this, turn both setscrews and check the amended clearance.
6.7.2. Gates Carbon Drive system
When delivered, the belt is optimally tensioned and does not have to be re-tensioned
even after prolonged use of the drive. Correctly mounted, the belt is extremely
resilient in the pulling direction. The carbon fibres embedded in the belt are very
flexible but sensitive to the following issues:
Kinks
Turning upside down
Twisting
Binding together Being used as a strap spanner
