e) Support panels or any oversized workpiece
to minimize the risk of wheel pinching and
kickback. Large workpieces tend to sag under
their own weight. Supports must be placed un-
der the workpiece near the line of cut and near the
edge of the workpiece on both sides of the wheel.
f) Use extra caution when making a "pocket cut"
into existing walls or other blind areas. The
protruding wheel may cut gas or water pipes, elec-
trical wiring or objects that can cause kickback.

6. Additional Safety Warnings

1. Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of
the tool allow you to become complacent and ig-
nore tool safety principles. A careless action can
cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
2. Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean
and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
3. When using wheels for a dual purpose, always
choose the appropriate guard for the application be-
ing carried out. Failure to use the proper guard may
result in ineffective shielding and in serious injuries.
4. Do not make curved cuts. Overstressing the
wheel increases the loading and susceptibility to
twisting and binding of the wheel in the cut and
the possibility of kickback or wheel breakage,
which can lead to serious injuries.
5. When using depressed centre grinding wheels,
be sure to use only fiberglass-reinforced wheels.
6. Never use Stone Cup type wheels with this grind-
er. This grinder is not designed for these types of
wheels and the use of such a product may result
in serious personal injury.
7. Be careful not to damage the spindle, the flange
(especially the installing surface) or the lock nut.
Damage to these parts could result in wheel
breakage.
8. Make sure the wheel is not contacting the work-
piece before the switch is turned on.
9. Before using the tool on an actual workpiece, let
it run for a while. Watch for vibration or wobbling
that could indicate poor installation or a poorly
balanced wheel.
10. Use the specified surface of the wheel to perform
the grinding.
11. Do not leave the tool running. Operate the tool
only when hand-held.
12. Do not touch the workpiece immediately after op-
eration; it may be extremely hot and could burn
your skin.
13. Observe the instructions of the manufacturer for
correct mounting and use of wheels. Handle and
store wheels with care.
14. Do not use separate reducing bushings or adap-
tors to adapt large hole abrasive wheels.

15. Use only flanges specified for this tool.
16. For tools intended to be fitted with threaded hole
wheel, ensure that the thread in the wheel is long
enough to accept the spindle length.
17. Check that the workpiece is properly supported.
18. Pay attention that the wheel continues to rotate
after the tool is switched off.
19. If working place is extremely hot and humid, or
badly polluted by conductive dust, use a shortcir-
cuit breaker (30 mA) to assure operator safety.
20. Do not use the tool on any materials containing
asbestos.
21. When use cut-off wheel, always work with the
dust collecting wheel guard required by domestic
regulation.
22. Cutting wheels must not be subjected to any lat-
eral pressure.
m WARNING

during operation. This field can impair active or pas-
sive medical implants under certain conditions. In or-
der to prevent the risk of serious or deadly injuries,

the medical implant prior to operating the electric tool.
Information on the rechargeable battery
Please observe the operating manual for the re-
chargeable batteries.
Information on the charging unit and charging
process
Please observe the operating manual for the charg-
ing unit.
Careful handling and use of battery devices
• Charge the batteries only in chargers that are
recommended by the manufacturer. Risk of fire
if a charger that is suitable for a specific type of
battery is used with other batteries.
• In the power tools, use only the batteries de-
signed for the purpose. The use of other batter-
ies may result in injuries and risk of fire.
• Keep the unused battery away from paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small
metal objects, which could cause bridging of
the contacts. A short circuit between the battery
contacts may cause burns or fire.
• If used incorrectly, liquid may leak from the
battery. Avoid contact with this. In the event of
accidental contact, rinse off with water. If the
liquid gets into eyes, seek medical assistance.
Leaking battery fluid may cause skin irritations
or burns.
• Ensure that the device is switched off before in-
serting the battery. Inserting a battery into a power
tool that is switched on may result in accidents.
