By loosening the wing bolt (13) the position of
the auxiliary handle can be adjusted in length
direction. Always set the length of the auxiliary
handle to the maximum, if possible.
Apply the pressure required for work
against the handle (7) only and not against
the auxiliary handle (14).
Clamping a Drill
Ring gear chuck
Insert tool and tighten equally in all 3 holes with
chuck key.
Keyless chuck
Grip rear collar of keyless chuck (24) and rotate
front collar until chuck is open sufficiently for tool
to be inserted.
Grip rear collar and manually rotate front collar
until tight. An audible "click" indicates that the
chuck has automatically locked.
Switching on and off
Press the on/off switch (5) to switch on the
machine. Release again to switch off.

Continuous use

Switching on: Press ON‑OFF switch (5) and
retain with locking button (6).
Switching off: Press and release ON‑OFF switch
(5).
RPM Control
Light pressure on the ON‑OFF switch (5) results
in low rotational speed, thus allowing drilling to
begin in a smooth, controlled manner.
Further pressure on the switch results in an
increase in speed.
RPM Preselection
The desired rotational speed can be preselected
with the thumbwheel (8) (also possible
during operation). The rotational speed to be
used depends upon the material and can be
determined in actual practice.
For higher loading of the machine, always set the
control (8) to the maximum speed.
After long periods at low operating speed, run
the drill at high speed and without load for
approx. 3 minutes.
Speed selection
Two rpm ranges can be preselected with the
speed selector switch (11):
Speed I: Lower rpm range
Speed II: Higher rpm range
The speed can be switched during drill operation.
However, this should not be done while operating
at full load.
The rotation speed can be electronically adjusted
within these ranges.
Percussion drilling
To switch on the impact mechanism, press the
switch (12) below the spindle collar (2).
To switch off, pull out the switch (12).
Tungsten carbide drill bits are required for drilling
concrete, stone and masonry.
Changing rotational direction
Set the rotational direction switch (4) to the
right (lefthand rotation) or to the left (right‑hand
rotation). The reversing or anticlockwise
operation enables application for tasks such as
loosening of screws.
Rotational direction selector (5) is locked when
ON‑OFF switch is activated.
Change rotational direction only when
machine is not running.
Changing the ring gear chuck (illustr.)
Use an open‑end spanner (22 ‑ SW 22) on
spanner surface (21) to hold spindle. Place the
chuck key (19) in one of the 3 bores and loosen
the chuck by turning it to the left using the key as
a lever. If the chuck is frozen in place, a tap on
the chuck key (19) should loosen it.
Changing the keyless chuck (illustr.)
Clamp an Allen key (23) in the drill chuck. Hold
the drill spindle on the spanner surfaces with an
open‑ended spanner (19 ‑ SW 22). Loosen the
drill chuck with a light blow on the Allen key.
The chuck is secured against being loosened
from the spindle with securing screw (20). To
remove the drill chuck, this screw must be
completely screwed out (left‑hand threads).
