a) Open the safety cover.
b) Clean the safety cover and the housing with a damp lint-free cloth and a mild detergent. The original gloss
can be restored with polish.
c) Clean the electrical components with compressed air.
d) Use the recommended special cleaner for metallic or plastic surfaces and clean them.
e) Wait until all the components that have been wiped are dry.
f) Close the safety cover as intended at the factory.
 The device has now been cleaned.
Inspecting the electrical system
DANGER
a) Check all the device's electrical components visibly for signs of external damage, loose contacts and con-
tamination. Remove the safety cover in order to inspect the internal wiring. Remove any external contami-
nation with a lint-free cloth and replace any defective or damaged components.
 The inspection of the device's electrical system is now complete.

Touching electrically live parts can be fatal.
Improper or inadequate inspection and maintenance can lead to device components
becoming live during operation due to a defect.
a) Inspection of the electrical system should only be conducted by a qualified elec-
trician.
b) After the work has been completed, install and test all the safety devices as in-
tended.
Details of the procedure and further information about the maintenance of the fan can
be found in the fan manufacturer's operating manual.
