Legal regulations
The following regulations shall be observed during installation and commissioning:
- Workplace Ordinance §§ 5 and 14
- Workplace Directive ASR 5
- Accident Prevention Regulations VBG 43, VBG 21
- Furnace Installation Ordinances (FeuVo) of the individual federal states
to be obtained via: Deutsches Informationszentrum für technische Regeln (DITR) in DIN
Burggrafenstraße 6, 10787 Berlin

10. Maintenance

In order to comply with operational safety and environmental limit values and to ensure
efficiency, the unit shall be maintained and cleaned in regular intervals. HEYLO recommends an
interval of at least 12 months.
Maintenance may only be performed by competent experts. An air heater always maintained in
clean condition ensures good combustion with error-free operation and a long service life.
CAUTION!!! Only perform maintenance with the power plug disconnected!
1. The oil filter must be cleaned and the oil nozzle replaced latest after every heating period.
The unit indicates the maintenance interval in the Overview main menu. Here, the
maintenance interval can also be reset.
2. Depending on the dirt load at the usage location, the inner parts must be thoroughly
cleaned from dust and dirt latest after every heating period.
3. The combustion chamber must be cleared of soot and the burner checked for proper values
after every heating period. (To be performed by experts only.
4. Original spare parts shall be used only.
Three openings are provided on the K 160 eco-e for heat exchanger cleaning. One opening is
located at the exhaust gas fitting. It can be opened, after the hood plate is removed and the
flange bolting connections are loosened. The second and third cleaning openings are located
on the outblow and intake sides of the heat exchanger. Here, the maintenance lids must be
removed.
