Heater IRE 3
– The device is electrically powered. There is a
risk of fatal injury from incorrect installation of the
electrical system or from a failure of the insula-
tion during operation.
– All work on the electrical equipment must be car-
ried out by a qualified electrician. Always keep
switch boxes closed.
– The power supply from the electrical mains is
disconnected when the main switch is switched
off.
– After completion of any work on the device, en-
sure that all safety devices work properly.
– Do not make unauthorised modifications to the
device.
Instructions for transport and installation
The following rules apply to the transport and instal-
lation of the device:
– Switch off the device, pull out the plug and allow
the device to cool down before lifting or moving
it.
– Do not position the device right below a wall
socket.

Instructions for operation

For the operation of the device, observe the follow-
ing general rules:
– The device must only be operated by persons
who have been properly instructed in its opera-
tion.
– Do not modify, dismantle or disable safety de-
vices. The safety devices must be inspected at
regular intervals.
– All guards, covers and hoods must be correctly
installed.
– Do not make structural modifications to the de-
vice.
– Do not operate the device if its power cord is de-
fective.
– Never pull the plug by the power cord.
Never touch the plug with wet or damp hands.
– Children aged 8 or over and persons with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
lack of experience or knowledge may only use
this device if they are supervised or have been
instructed on how to use the device safely and
understand the dangers. Children must not play
with the device.

Maintenance and troubleshooting

The following rules apply to all work in connection
with maintenance and troubleshooting:
– Maintenance and troubleshooting tasks must be
performed by suitably qualified persons only.
– Before commencing work, allow the device to
cool down.

– Shut down the device and disconnect it from the
power socket.

Notes on fire protection

Take the following precautions:
– WARNING! To prevent overheating, never
cover the device.
– Keep the protective grille unobstructed and free
of dirt. Reduced air flow can lead to overheating
of the device. Do not operate the device near
curtains or other objects that might come into
contact with the heating rods or might block its
air inlet.
– Do not operate the device near open fires or
other heat sources.
– Do not operate or store the device in aggressive
atmospheres, or areas where there might be
combustible gases, gas-air or dust-air mixtures.
– Do not use in areas where the device can suck
in flammable small parts such as wood shavings
or straw.

Operating conditions

The device is designed for indoor use, on construc-
tion sites, in garages and in storage spaces / rooms.
The device operates efficiently:
– within the specified temperature and humidity
range, see Technical details
– in enclosed rooms
– if there are no objects between the device and
the item to be heated
Inadmissible operating conditions can impair the
operational safety and the performance of the de-
vice. Inadmissible operating conditions must there-
fore be avoided at all times.

Place of installation

For the installation of the device, observe the follow-
ing general rules:
– The device is a heater devised for operation in
closed rooms.
– The device must not be used in rooms and envi-
ronments with explosive atmospheres, combus-
tible liquids or gases.
– Do not use the device outdoors in damp weath-
er, in bathrooms or in other damp environments.
– The device must never be operated in the im-
mediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers, wash ba-
sins or swimming pools.
– The floors and ceilings at the place of installation
must be fire retardant.
– Ensure an adequate safety clearance to flam-
mable objects such as furniture, curtains.
