Wetting the Membranes before Initial Use
The filter cassettes supplied have either dry membranes or membranes
moistened by a preservative. You must wet or flush the membranes,
respectively, before initial use.
Adjust the following pressures:

= 29 psi (2.0 bar or 200 kPa)
inlet
p
= 7.3 psi (0.5 bar or 50 kPa)
outlet
p
= 0 psi (0 bar or 0 kPa)
per
Circulate 2 l of deionized water (Dl) per 0.1 m² of filter area through the
crossflow system for 5 min. Drain off the water for disposal.
