installation of the cassettes!

the cassette [see Chapter "4 Components Filter Device", page 9].

− If the Sartocube
®
currently supplied by Sartorius Stedim Biotech, please make sure to
check required compression of the holder with a clamp force measuring
device. To avoid cassette damage, please contact our application
specialist.
− Preferably a Sartorius Stedim Biotech Flexact
with Sartocube
Self Contained devices and a Sartoflow
®
system should be used with a Bag Loop Assembly. If a system with a
manual holder is used, please check clamp force on a regular basis.
IMPORTANT
Observe the instructions for the new Sartocon
trapezoidal threads, PEEK washers and bronze clamping nuts (available
since July 2014):
− Replace the clamping nuts and the trapezoidal threads if they show
wear. Please refer to the user manual for the filter holder.
− Before each use, the PEEK plain washers must be cleaned with water in
order to completely maintain the functionality of the filter holder. After
every 10 uses, the plain washers should be replaced with new ones.
− Keep the thread of the pull rods and tensioning nuts clean and, above
all, free of grease! If the threading becomes contaminated with grease
or dirt, the tensioning forces will be affected and the cassettes may be
destroyed.
