W-DMX operation
W-DMX status
The W-DMX module operates as a receiver in DMX and slave mode. In stand-alone modes, it works as a
transmitter. The status is shown in the top left of the display.

Pairing with a transmitter
1
To pair with W-DMX compatible transmitters, enable W-DMX in the menu settings (W-DMX > ON). Start
the pairing process as described in the operating instructions of the W-DMX transmitter. Pairing is then
completed automatically.
The assignment to the transmitter is kept memorized even after disconnecting the power supply. After
switching on again, the unit therefore tries to re-establish the connection to the transmitter automatically.
A wired DMX signal has priority over a W-DMX signal.
2
To unlink the device, select the option W-DMX > ON > DISCONNECT in the menu settings.
Wireless master/slave operation
It is possible to link several devices via W-DMX and to operate them in master/slave mode without a DMX
controller.
1
Select the slave mode on the slave units (SLAVE > SLAVE MODE)
2
Start the pairing process via the option W-DMX > ON > CONNECT on the master unit.
3
After pairing, select one of the stand-alone modes (STATIC, AUTO, COLOR, etc.) on the master unit.
The slave units now receive the control signal from the master unit and operate synchronously.
Switching transmission modes
The W-DMX module can switch the transmission mode of the entire wireless system in transmitter mode.
The transmission mode determines which frequency band is used and if legacy G3 units can be used in the
wireless environment. In G4S mode, all receivers automatically detect the mode the transmitter is in and
adapt to it. You can change the transmission mode in the menu settings (W-DMX > ON > G3 MODE or G4S
MODE).

Slow flashing = pairing process, flashing stops = paired
Lights permanently = paired and DMX signal is received or transmitted
Fast flashing = no DMX signal or transmitter off
