Assembly
Prerequisites for installation
You have read the chapter „Safety".
Tools and aids
Before you start, prepare the following equip-
ment:
– Cross-head screwdriver, size 2
– Open-ended spanner, size 7
– Drill with drill bits suitable for the ceiling
– Measuring tape / ruler
– Level
– Pencil
– Stable stepladder
– Exhaust air hose, ø 15 cm, for exhaust air
operation, or activated charcoal filter for
circulation air operation
For some stages of assembly, it is much
easier if you have a second person to
help with passing tools and holding parts.
Removing protective film
WARNING
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in injury.
■ Please watch out for parts with sharp
edges when installing the appliance.
Risk of injury! Wear protective gloves.
The painted surfaces of your new exhaust
hood are covered with protective film to pre-
vent scratching during transport.
Assembly
• Remove the protective film before atta-
ching the exhaust hood.
Define the installation space
WARNING
Risk of injury!
Improper installation of the appliance
can lead to injury.
■ At the point where the exhaust hood
is installed, the ceiling or wall must
have a load-bearing capacity of at
least 40 kg and must be at least 30
mm thick to provide suffi cient sup-
port for wall plugs or heavy-duty an-
chors.
■ Before drilling the holes, ensure that
no wires or cables (power, gas, water
etc.) will be damaged (check with a
line locator).
Only use mounting materials that are
suitable for the characteristics of the
ceiling and walls. If you are not sure
of your selection, ask a professional
for guidance.
■ Use a stable stepladder for assembly
and always have a second person as-
sist you.
