Empty the dust container as soon as the MAX mark
(Fig. 1/18) has been reached, before being stored for a long
time or before dispatching it.
For hygienic reasons, also empty the dust container at
least once every three months.
1. Switch off the device using the on/off switch, put it into
idle running mode and pull the plug from the socket,
Chapter 5.1, "Switch off device and put into idle run-
ning mode".
2. Push the dust container release button "

and pull off the dust container (Fig. 19/b).
3. Hold the dust container low over a bin and press the
dust container dust container release button "
(Fig. 20).
NOTE:
You can dispose of the contents of the dust container
with your regular domestic waste if it contains no waste
materials prohibited in domestic waste.
4. Push the bottom plate back up.
5. Separate the lid from the dust container by turning it an-
ticlockwise to unlock it (Fig. 21/a) and remove by lifting
up (Fig. 21/b).
6. Take the cyclone unit up out of the dust container.
7. Remove remaining dust stuck to the cyclone unit or the
vacuum cleaner. We recommend using a dry towel or
soft brush e.g. the 3-in-1 combi nozzle converted to a
furniture brush to do this (Fig. 22.
ATTENTION:
We advise against cleaning under flowing water as stuck
dirt could clog the cyclone unit.
8. Before you reinsert the cyclone unit into the dust con-
tainer, check the motor protection filter in the cyclone
unit and proceed as described,
