1. Lower the brush base by using your foot to apply slight
pressure to it whilst bending back the appliance (Fig. 5).
2. Insert the mains plug into a socket with ground/safety
contact.
3. Switch on the vacuum cleaner using the on/off switch
" " (Fig. 6).
4. You can use the device to vacuum hard floors like par-
quet, laminate flooring, PVC flooring and tiles. Push the
appliance forward and back for this. If you want to vac-
uum carpets etc., turn on the brush roller,

To clean carpets, runners etc. thoroughly, we recommend
turning on the brush roller.
1. Switch on the vacuum cleaner as described under
Chapter 3.2, "Vacuum cleaning hard floors etc.".
2. Hold the vacuum cleaner firmly by the handle.
3. Use the " Brush roller on/off" (Fig. 7 switch to turn on
the brush roller.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! Always take care not to run over body
parts or clothes being worn. Otherwise body parts, hair or
pieces of clothing could be sucked in.
ATTENTION:
Do not run over cables, lines, long carpet fringes etc.
This could get caught up in the brush roller and damage
it.
