5.3 Storing the device

WARNING:
Danger of injury! Switch off the device immediately after
use, put it into idle running mode and pull the plug from
the socket. Otherwise the machine might start up and
parts of your body, hair or pieces of clothing might be
sucked in.
1. Switch off the appliance with the on/off switch "
(Fig. 17).
2. Now tip the device forwards until you can feel the brush
base lock into place and the appliance stays standing
on its own.
3. Pull the plug out of the plug socket.
4. Wind up the power cord,
power cable".
WARNING:
Danger of tripping! Wind up the power cable as soon as
you have finished vacuuming. Otherwise the power cord
is a tripping hazard.
1. Turn the upper cable storage device all the way clock-
wise (Fig. 18/a).
2. Now wind the power cord around the lower and upper
cable storage devices (Fig. 18/b) as shown.
ATTENTION:
Never store the appliance directly next to heat sources
(e.g. stoves or radiators). Avoid exposing it to direct sun-
light. Heat can damage the appliance.
Always store the appliance in a cool, dry place and out
of reach of children.
Empty and clean the vacuum cleaner before storing it
