3 Using the Unit

Clean cooling air inlets in motor housing as nec‐
essary.
Store the machine is a safe and dry place.
3 Using the Unit
3.1 Mowing
► Hold your trimmer with both hands – right
hand on the control handle – left hand on the
loop handle.
► Stand upright – hold the unit in a relaxed posi‐
tion and always on right side of your body.
► Swing the trimmer steadily to the left and right
like a scythe, while maintaining the required
cutting height.
► Avoid contact with fences, walls, rocks, etc.
since it will result in a higher rate of wear.
3.1.1 Mowing with depth wheel

A depth wheel can be quickly fitted to the trim‐
mer (see "Mounting Depth Wheel").
– It limits the cutting range of the mowing line
– reduces the risk of the rotating mowing line
causing damage (e.g. tree bark)
3.2 Edging
The unit can be quickly converted to a power
edger (see "Converting Unit to Power Edger").
► Use the unit as shown
► Guide the mowing line along the edge of the
lawn – use the depth wheel (see "Mounting
Depth Wheel") or hold the unit at the right
height.
3.3 Disposal
Do not throw cuttings in the garbage can – they
can be composted.
