ENGINE
Perform the following steps to pro-
tect the cylinder, piston ring, etc.
from corrosion.
1. Remove the spark plug, pour
about one tablespoon of SAE
10W30 or 20W40 motor oil
into the spark plug hole and
install the spark plug only.
Recoil start the engine by
turning over several times
(with ignition off) to coat the
cylinder walls with oil.
2. Pull the recoil starter until you
feel compression. Then stop
pulling. (This prevents the
cylinder and valve from rust-
ing).
3. Clean exterior of the genera-
tor and apply a rust inhibitor.
4. Store the generator in a dry,
well-ventilated place, with the
cover placed over it.
5. The generator must remain in
a vertical position when

stored, carried or operated.

Exécutez les étapes suivantes pour
protéger le cylindre, le segment de
piston, etc., contre la corrosion.
1. Déposez la bougie, versez
environ une cuillerée à soupe
d'huile moteur SAE 10W30 ou
20W40 dans l'orifice de bougie
et installez la bougie. Lancez
plusieurs fois le moteur à l'aide
du lanceur à rappel (avec
l'allumage coupé) de façon à
revêtir la chemise du cylindre
d'un film d'huile.
2. Tirez sur le robinet de carbu-
rant jusqu'à ce que vous sen-
tiez une certaine compression;
cessez alors de tirer (ceci
empêche le cylindre et les sou-
papes de rouiller).
3. Nettoyez l'extérieur du généra-
teur et appliquez un produit
antirouille.
4. Remisez le générateur dans un
endroit sec et bien aéré, en pre-
nant soin de le couvrir.
5. Le générateur doit rester en
position verticale lors du remi-
sage, du transport et de l'utili-
sation.
