9 INITIAL COMMISSIONING OF THE
CONEL STREAM
9.1

SECURITY

RISK:
• All commissioning activities may only be carried out by professional and knowled-
geable personnel who have been suffi ciently informed by studying the operating
instructions in-depth;
• Do NOT wear your personal protective gear and do NOT work with wet hands or
wet feet or stand in the water – avoid a fatal electric shock.
• Before starting work of any kind, please ensure that the power supply has been
interrupted (e.g., pull the power plug) and secure it again against unauthorized or
unintentional re-engagement;
• As soon as the Conel Stream is put into operation, no persons or animals may
be in the conveying medium (storage) – danger to life due to electric shock;
• Ensure that the Conel Stream cannot be put into operation without authorization
or unintentionally during commissioning;
• Make sure that the electrical connectors are in the fl ood-proof area or are protec-
ted from moisture.
• Refer to unauthorized persons (especially children, adolescents) or animals from
the fi eld of work and activity.
ATTENTION:
• The temperature of the conveying fl uid shall not exceed the maximum temperatu-
re specifi ed in the technical data;
• The Conel Stream must not be operated in impure water under any circumstances.
NOTE:
• The operation of the Conel Stream with leaks on the pressure and suction line or
its piping can cause damage to the Conel Stream or to the entire installation;
• Ensure a professional and appropriate connection of the Conel Stream to the
piping system;
• Make sure that the electrical installation is properly and professionally created;
• Visual check whether all required lines, dimension-friendly, airtight and fi xed, to
which Conel Stream are connected.
9.2

EXECUTION OF THE INITIAL COMMISSIONING

• The Conel Stream is professionally and appropriately mounted and fi xed at the destination (see
chapter 8.2 for details on this subject);
• All hydraulic connections (pressure line, drinking water supply) are connected professionally and
appropriately (see Chapter 8). 3 to 8. 4)
• The connection line for the integrated emergency overfl ow of the Conel Stream is installed and
connected appropriately (see Chapter 8for details on this. 5);
• The necessary electrical connections are connected professionally and appropriately – the electrical
power supply has not yet been established;
• Check that the fl oat switch in the feed tank can move trouble-free and is not impaired in its switching
function;
• Slowly open the ball valve of the drinking water supply – the feed tank fi lls with drinking water until
the fl oat valve in the feed tank slowly closes the infl ow and the feed tank is fi lled with drinking water.
• Discharge of pump housings (see Chapter 9 for details on this. 3). The pump body is fi lled with water
via the fi lling nozzle (on the upper pump housing). To do this, open the fi lling nozzle at the pump and
