Setting area: function description
Start conf. pump
Temp.: the pump at the alternative heat source is
started if temperature sensor TA1/TF1 detects heat in
the alternative heat source.
AHS: the pump at the alternative heat source starts at
the same time as the alternative heat source (e.g. pellet
stove with On/Off or 0-10 V signal input required).

Mixer return AHS
Menu item
Setting area: function description
AHS return temp rise Yes: mixer for return temperature increase at
alternative heat source is connected to module (VR1).
The module controls the mixer in such a way that the
primary cylinder and heating system are bypassed until
the required minimum return temperature at the
alternative heat source is reached.
No: no return temperature increase
Mixer run time
0 ... 120 ... 600 s: maximum mixer operating time for
return temperature increase.
Set temp. return
40 ... 60 ... 75 °C: this set temperature should be
reached during return temperature increase.
Notice: to avoid damage, observe the manufacturer's
specifications for the minimum return temperature of
the alternative heat source.
If a thermal mixer is used, the temperature set at the
thermal mixer must be specified.

Buffer
Menu item
Setting area: function description
Set flow temp. AHS
40* ... 70 ... 75 °C: set temperature for charging of the
buffer cylinder, the primary pump modulates via the
sensor TA1 with reference to the value set here.
Can only be adjusted with a primary pump connected to
the module.
Notice: observe manufacturer's specifications for the
maximum permissible temperature of the alternative
heat source! We recommend you adjust the set
temperature so it is 5 K below the maximum permissible
temperature.
Note: if the buffer cylinder is not charged via the module
(Config. pump: No and Alt. heat source activation: Yes),
the menu remains Set flow temp. AHS visible. In this
case, the Set flow temp. AHS is used to apply a limit
during external charging.
* the value cannot be less than the set temperature
specified for the return temperature increase (set temp.
return)
Buffer bypass
Mixer: mixer bypassing the buffer cylinder connected to
the module (VB1).
Valve: 3-way diverter valve for bypassing the buffer
cylinder connected to the module (VB1).
No: no bypass valve for bypassing the buffer cylinder
connected to the module.
Bypass mixer run time 0 ... 120 ... 600 s: maximum elapsed time of mixer/
valve for bypassing buffer cylinder..
DHW via buffer
Yes: buffer cylinder is used for DHW heating.
No: no DHW heating via buffer cylinder.
ME 200 – 6720884576 (2019/08)
Menu item
Setting area: function description
Config. DHW cylinder Notice: a default setting does not exist. During
commissioning, either "Dual: DWH..." or "Mono:
DHW..." must be set without fail!
Dual: DHW is heated passively via buffer cylinder (e.g.
Tank in Tank, combi buffer cylinder with DHW part,
freshwater station, buffer cylinder with DHW in upper
area).
Mono: DHW is actively heated via buffer cylinder (e.g.
DHW cylinder heated by single heat source with primary
pump or 3-way valve)

Blocking mode
Menu item
Setting area: function description
Config. htg.
Never: if a conventional heat source is connected, this
1)
blocking mode
responds to heat requirements of the heating system
independently of the alternative heat source.
Autom.: the conventional heat source is released if the
alternative heat source cannot heat the buffer cylinder.
Otherwise the conventional heat source remains blocked
until the waiting time to be observed before the boiler is
released has elapsed.
Always: the conventional heat source is permanently blocked
for the heat energy demand.
Conf. DHW
Never: if a conventional heat source is connected, this
1)
blocking mode
responds to heat requirements for DHW independently of the
alternative heat source.
Autom.: the conventional heat source is released if the
alternative heat source cannot heat the buffer cylinder.
Otherwise the conventional heat source remains blocked.
Always: the conventional heat source is permanently blocked
for the DHW demand.
Hyst. for boiler
0 ... 5 ... 50 K: the boiler block is activated if the system
block
setpoint is measured at the buffer top sensor (TB1). If the
temperature of the buffer cylinder falls below the set
temperature minus the value set here (switching differential)
for a certain period (Boiler release wait.time), the
conventional heat source is released.
Boiler release
0 ... 60 ... 240 min: if the switching differential (Hyst. for
wait.time
boiler block) is undercut for the duration set here, the
conventional heat source is released.
Notes:
The waiting time until boiler release is reduced to 15 minutes
if no rise in temperature of the alternative heat source is
detected following release.
If the alternative heat source is not in operation
(e.g. summer phase), the setting Heat source > Config.
blocking mode in the customer menu can be adjusted (e.g.
Never).
Blocking output
EMS: the conventional heat source interlock is applied via a
selection
BUS connection. The heat source must support the interlock
via EMS 2.
EV: the conventional heat source interlock is applied via
terminal OEV (EV/I3 connection at heat source for external
interlock).
Config. of
N/C: contact is open during an interlock and closed when the
block.terminal
conventional heat source is released.
N/O: contact is closed during an interlock and open when the
conventional heat source is released.
1) Can only be adjusted if Blocking output selection is set to EMS, control unit MX25
from V1.44. Conf. DHW blocking mode only possible from MX25 V V1.5, in older
versions this must be deactivated or "Blocking output selection=EV" set.
