Overview of components in switch box

Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in the switch box indicate
the switching status of the door monitoring, provided
that the EPS is switched on at the master switch and all
splash guard doors are closed.
If there is no fault, the LEDs in the switch box must
light as follows with the splash guard doors closed:
DC Pow- CH. CH. Cause
on er 1 2
No faults occurred.
All splash guard doors closed.
In the event of a fault, the LEDs light as follows:
DC Pow- CH. CH. Cause
on er 1 2
Check the power supply
(230 V / 24 V).
Check the output voltage of the
AC/DC power supply unit 2G1 in
the switch box (setting: 24 V).
Replace the 24 V emergency stop
switching device 3A1.
Close the splash guard doors.
Re-adjust the safety switches.

Checking safety monitoring

1. Switch on the EPS at the master switch.
2. Close all splash guard doors.

When setting the safety switches, make sure the
surfaces (Pos. 4) of the safety switch (Pos. 2) and
the actuator (Pos. 1) are precisely aligned and that
the operating distance (1 to 5 mm) is maintained.
The LED (Pos. 3) will only indicate the required
switching status if the safety switch is correctly
set. Lateral or vertical misalignment of the safety
switch reduces the assured operating distance and
influences the switching status. Failure to comply
with the specified settings may lead to undefined
switching statuses (e.g. LED lights but door contact
is not released).

3. Check the LED displays (3) on the back of the safety
switches.
Status Cause
LED on Switching contact fitted
LED off Switching contact not fitted
4. Check the status of the LEDs V19 and V20
(refer also to Section 5.1) on the trigger PCB (A10).
5. Check the status of the LEDs CH1 and CH2 in the
switch box for door monitoring (refer also to
Section 5.2.2).
